We're looking for a new Executive Assistant at Show Them the World. Our ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, tech-savvy task-master with a passion for travel.​​

This position’s primary focus is supporting our founder (Heather Vergara) to help her stay organized and free up her time so she can focus on what’s most important to the business.
Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented and self-motivated. With more than 60+ trips in play at any given time, the ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently while maintaining an exceptional eye for detail and precision is crucial. We have systems in place to help us manage all the moving parts - gaining expertise quickly with those systems is required.
Communicating professionally - both verbally and in writing - is a required skillset. Our ideal candidate will learn to communicate in Heather's voice.
This role is primarily virtual, but there will be in-person onboarding as well as periodic in-person meetings as needed. This part-time position reports directly to Heather but may also collaborate with other Show Them the World team members. The Assistant can set their own schedule but is expected to be available M-F for part-time hours during the workday, unless otherwise agreed with Heather. Because client travel happens outside of traditional work hours, in emergency situations, this position may involve working some evenings and weekends. When Heather is traveling herself, extra hours may be needed.
Requirements and Pay:

20-25 hours per week. $15-20 per hour depending on experience. Paid bi-weekly.

Performance review every six months where we will assess performance, responsibilities, and pay rate.

Assistant will track hours daily and submit invoice bi-weekly.

Assistant will follow daily task reporting procedures as outlined in onboarding.

Candidate must have working computer and printer at home with strong WiFi.

Candidate must be tech-savvy: strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems easily. Ideal candidate has MS Excel experience.

Candidate must be a self-starter who is able to work independently.

Responsibilities:
Assistant will be integrated in Heather's email and client systems and will support client communication and management. This will include:

Research and proposal development

Creating library items for resorts, activities and destinations

Booking all itinerary components
-
Commission administration
-
Client follow-up
-
Finalizing itineraries and preparing final travel documents

Communicating with suppliers
Assistant will support marketing efforts.

Research for blog stories

Pinterest posts
-
Maintain Marketing Trello board
-
Depending on skillset, opportunity to generate content for marketing (social media, email marketing, blog)
