Romance in the Caribbean isn’t one-size-fits-all. For some couples, it’s a private plunge pool and sunset dinners on the sand. For others, it’s barefoot luxury, intuitive service, and a setting that feels effortlessly intimate. This curated list highlights the best romantic resorts in the Caribbean – ideal for honeymoons, anniversaries, babymoons, and milestone celebrations - where privacy, atmosphere, and thoughtful details matter just as much as the beach itself.

What Makes a Resort Truly Romantic?

The best romantic resorts offer much more than just beautiful rooms and great food – they create a luxurious vibe where couples can unwind and reconnect. My favorites combine breathtaking views with a peaceful, adult atmosphere away from crowds and young kids. Intimate bungalows or secluded villas add a sense of exclusivity, while white-glove service, including personal butlers and private dining, allows you to fully relax and not worry about a thing.

Hubs and I celebrating anniversaries in the Caribbean

Top 8 Best Romantic Resorts in the Caribbean

The top 8 romantic resorts in the Caribbean are on five different islands - St. Lucia, Anguilla, Turks & Caicos, Antigua, and Barbados. With its jaw-dropping landscapes and luxury boutique resorts designed for adults, St. Lucia is my #1 pick for honeymooners and milestone getaways. My husband and I visited St. Lucia for our 15-year anniversary, and since then, I've sent many honeymooners and anniversary couples. While the island has many resorts to choose from, nothing can top Jade Mountain and Sugar Beach.

Jade Mountain - St. Lucia

Best for: Ultra-private honeymoons, once-in-a-lifetime romance, dramatic scenery

Jade Mountain, one of the most iconic honeymoon resorts in the Caribbean, is known for its jaw-dropping views of the Pitons, private infinity pools, and open-air sanctuaries (rooms with one wall entirely open to the beauty outside).

This resort is ideal for couples seeking seclusion and stunning views, rather than beachfront accommodations, because Jade Mountain is perched above the Caribbean and requires a shuttle down to the beach. Days revolve around in-suite dining, spa treatments, and lingering sunsets rather than social scenes or nightlife. Butler service is highly personalized.

Why couples love it:

  • Adult-only open-air sanctuaries with private infinity pools

  • Spectacular Piton views

  • One of the most private honeymoon experiences in the Caribbean

Jade Mountain's incomparable views

Sugar Beach, a Viceroy Resort - St. Lucia

Best for: Couples who want a beachfront vacation that blends luxury, relaxation, and adventure

Built on an 18th-century sugar plantation perfectly positioned between the Pitons on the island's most beautiful beach, Sugar Beach is one of the most beautiful resorts I've ever visited. Offering a different kind of romance, one that blends natural beauty with refined comfort and adventure, Sugar Beach is perfect for couples who want their vacation to feel both luxurious and active.

Not only is the resort on St. Lucia's best beach (with imported white sand), but it's also home to a marine sanctuary where you can snorkel right from the sand. Sugar Beach provides complimentary kayaks, SUP, and snorkel gear as well as unique excursions like Snorkeling by Moonlight, chocolate making, and culinary and wine experiences.

The resort’s villas feel tucked into the rainforest and offer private pools and white-glove butler service. Our butler helped us secure an upgrade from one of the rainforest villas to a beachfront bungalow. They can also deliver a floating breakfast tray right to your private pool.

Why couples love it:

  • Stunning beachfront location between the Pitons

  • Private villas with plunge pools

  • Romantic without feeling isolated, plus a variety of activities

Sugar Beach, our favorite anniversary celebration - so far!

Cap Juluca, a Belmond hotel - Anguilla

Best for: Honeymoons, anniversaries, couples who want timeless romance on a pristine beach

Set along the crescent of Maundays Bay, Cap Juluca is one of the Caribbean’s most iconic romantic resorts. With its Moorish-inspired architecture, all-white villas, and one of the calmest, most beautiful beaches in the region, the vibe feels effortlessly intimate and refined.

Every room at Cap Juluca faces the ocean, many with private terraces and plunge pools, making it ideal for couples who value privacy and peaceful time together. Dining is a standout here, from elegant beachfront meals at Pimms to relaxed lunches just steps from the sand. Cap Juluca is ideal for couples who want their vacation to feel classic, calm, and romantic, not trendy or high-energy.

My family is visiting Anguilla this month - stay tuned for personal reviews and photos!

Why couples love it:

  • One of the best beaches in the Caribbean

  • Romantic, residential-style accommodations

  • A serene, old-world luxury vibe perfect for milestone celebrations

Cap Juluca is known for its Moroccan-inspired architecture, private beach experience, and ultra-romantic atmosphere

Zemi Beach House - Anguilla

Best for: Relaxed luxury, barefoot elegance, laid-back romance

Zemi Beach House sits on Shoal Bay East, one of Anguilla’s most beautiful beaches. The atmosphere is refined yet unpretentious, ideal for couples seeking romance without formality.

Rooms and suites are spacious and thoughtfully designed, many with ocean views or direct beach access. The renowned Zemi Thai House Spa is in an authentic 300-year-old Thai structure and features the island’s only hammam (Moroccan bath). Zemi is ideal for couples seeking an intimate beach escape with standout wellness experiences.

Why couples love it:

  • One of the Caribbean’s best beaches

  • Excellent spa and dining

  • Romantic, but not overly formal

COMO Parrot Cay - Turks & Caicos

Best for: Wellness-focused couples, low-key luxury, quiet sophistication

COMO Parrot Cay, a private-island retreat set on over 1,000 acres of unspoiled nature in Turks & Caicos, offers peaceful beach houses and foot-in-the-sand living. After arriving in Providenciales, you'll take a 35-minute scenic boat ride to Parrot Cay, setting the stage for relaxation and seclusion.

A signature highlight is the COMO Shambhala Retreat, offering yoga, Pilates, holistic therapies, spa treatments, and healthy cuisine. The resort also provides complimentary bikes, so you can explore the island as you wish.

Why couples love it:

  • Private island setting

  • Exceptional wellness and spa experiences

  • Discreet, minimalist luxury

Why couples love it:

  • Boutique all-inclusive experience

  • Standalone suites with privacy

In under ten minutes, you are worlds away from everything. With no cars and a seamless all-inclusive experience, the vibe is refined, serene, and personal.

Accommodations range from elegant suites to expansive private villas, many with private pools and direct beach access. Interiors feel like a private residence rather than a hotel.

Why couples love it:

  • Private island setting with complete seclusion

  • Elevated all-inclusive experience that feels genuinely luxurious

  • Exceptional service and sense of ease

Jumby Bay is a 300-acre private island sanctuary accessible only by boat

Set along a pristine stretch of the Platinum Coast amid an ancient mahogany grove, Sandy Lane offers old-world Caribbean luxury and picture-perfect views.
